Larry Hunter (and I) are a little concerned that less than a dozen crew members have reserved rooms at the Holiday Inn (860-889-5201). I know that many of you live in the area and do not need a room but, I also thought many of us would be coming from a distance and didn't want to sleep at the YMCA. Since it's been so long since we've held a reunion, I naturally thought we'd all be anxious to see one another before we are too old to remember what we did in the Navy. I remain confident that the reunion will be a success but Larry and I would get a little more sleep at night if the phones were ringing off the hook at the Holiday Inn. The good news is that the rooms are still only $89.00/night up to 5 October 2015. After that you can still get the special $89.00 rate up to the 20th. provided the hotel has open rooms. Comes to $102.00 a night, give or take a dollar. </div> <div> Reservations must be made no later than 9/11/15 to get this rate. After that, the rate goes up drastically (double or better). Hotel has a sports bar and a restaurant. </div> <div> Registration: The cost for the banquet dinner, hospitality room with refreshments, "welcome aboard" party, DJ for after dinner dancing, and other expenses will be $75.00 per person.
